11-5 Nuka Model: Health Reform That Works
Sharing an innovative Alaska-based approach to health reform, Senator Begich spoke on the Senate floor about the "Nuka Model of Care" developed by the Southcentral Foundation of Anchorage. A highly successful program, the Nuka Model takes a holistic, proactive approach to promoting wellness and prevention by using teams of health providers, including doctors, nurses and medical assistants.
